My Journey from Athlete to advocte

After 2022, I stepped away from competing. In my 50s, I was ready for a new lifestyle—one where I could stay strong and healthy, but without the rigid structure of competition prep.

When the Spark Fades

By late 2023, I started falling out of love with training. It no longer felt like my sanctuary. I was showing up, but just going through the motions. Injuries started creeping in, and mentally, I felt flat. My focus was gone, and I couldn’t figure out why

Seeking Answers

I visited my GP, only to be told I couldn’t be going through menopause. I left feeling dismissed. A second visit didn’t help either—especially with my family history of breast cancer. That’s when I took control and saw a private menopause specialist.

 Finally Heard

That appointment changed everything. I was diagnosed with 19 symptoms of menopause and, for the first time, felt truly seen. Since starting HRT in 2024, I’ve become more in tune with my body and more empowered in my choices.

Learning and Sharing

Before seeing the specialist, I began studying menopause and nutrition through a course by Dr. Stacy Sims—an incredible advocate for women in sport. Her insights transformed how I train and fuel my body. so now I can share what I've learned with you
